Our biggest problem is that we're reactive instead of being proactive.

Sure, we have to try to repel this legislation or at least minimize the impact.
But the major mistake would be (and I'm afraid that this is how it will work) to stop afterwards and wait for next round and then fight back again.
That way, we will always loose a bit till we have nothing.

Instead, regardless of the outcome of this legislation, *professional* organization should be setup on EU level which should work on advancing our interests, which should have "employees" (100% dedicated people, not volunteers). It should work on image and perception of legal ownership of weapons, on continuous lobying with politicians, etc.
There are milions of shooters in EU, we should be able to finance such organization. And actually, producers should contribute as well, as they have a lot to loose as well.

We're loosing fight against small group of activists because they work on disarming us for years, while we try to keep our weapons only when change happens.
And we loose because they play on EU level while we play each on our own small sandcastle.

You wanted to say that we need a european NRA, which is imo an absolutely necessary step. Even if there´s things like firearms united or shooting/hunting clubs in each state, all they do is promote the sport, give it a social backing. But we have to accept that nowadays the limited influence of those groups on national legislation is compromised by european law.
The only problem is, who is willing to start/lead such an organisation.

was passiert mit den dekos die jetzt alle grade gestempelt wurden
bis wann kann noch gestempelt werden
was passiert mit den museumsstuecken
usw

Habe nun ebenfalls meine Familie in Ungarn aktiviert, ich hoffe auf deren Netzwerke da sie der EU, aus verschiedenen Gründen, sehr kritisch gegenüberstehen. Für eine "Europäische" NRA (ERA?) würde ich sowohl einen finanziellen Beitrag logischerweise akzeptieren als auch richtige Tätigkeiten innerhalb dieser ausführen falls erforderlich bzw meine Eignung dafür gegeben sein sollte.

Wird sich zwar jetzt leider nicht rechtzeitig für die aktuelle Diskussion ausgehen aber es besteht offensichtlich Bedarf an einer europäischen Vertretung der Legalwaffenbesitzer. Was soll diese tun bzw. können? Hab mir erlaubt, einen eigenen thread dazu zu erstellen:
